দক্ষিণ চীনের প্রযুক্তিকেন্দ্র শেনচেন শহরে মেট্রো লাইন-১৩-এর উত্তর সম্প্রসারণের দ্বিতীয় পর্যায় রোববার আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে চালু হয়েছে। এর মাধ্যমে শহরের রেল নেটওয়ার্কে প্রায় ১৯ দশমিক ২৫ কিলোমিটার নতুন রেলপথ এবং আরও ১১টি নতুন স্টেশন যুক্ত হয়েছে।
নতুন এই সম্প্রসারণ অংশটি মেট্রো লাইন-১৩-এর প্রথম পর্যায়ের সঙ্গে সংযুক্ত হওয়ায় কুয়াংমিং জেলা ও নানশান জেলার কেন্দ্রীয় এলাকার মধ্যে যাতায়াতের সময় কমে ৪৫ মিনিটে নেমে এসেছে। এতে আন্তঃজেলা যাতায়াতের গতি ও কার্যকারিতা উল্লেখযোগ্যভাবে বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে।
সম্প্রসারিত এই রুটটি শেনচেন বে স্থলবন্দর, নানশান বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি পার্ক এবং কুয়াংমিং বিজ্ঞান নগরীসহ বেশ কয়েকটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ এলাকাকে সংযুক্ত করেছে। ফলে এটি শহরের একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পরিবহন করিডোরে পরিণত হয়েছে, যা বিভিন্ন অঞ্চলের কর্মী ও সম্পদের নির্বিঘ্ন চলাচল আরও সহজ করবে।

Shenzhen metro line 13 sees extension of 11 more stations northward
Phase II of the northern extension section of Metro Line 13 in south China's tech hub of Shenzhen City officially went into operation on Sunday, adding approximately 19.25 kilometers of new track to the city's expanding rail network with 11 more stations.
With the new section now connected to the line's phase I, the commuting time between the central areas of Guangming District and Nanshan District has been shortened to 45 minutes, significantly improving cross-district travel efficiency.
The extension section links key locations including the Shenzhen Bay Port, the Nanshan Science and Technology Park and the Guangming Science City, creating a vital transportation artery that facilitates seamless flow of personnel and resources across the city.
As a major infrastructure project, the new section is expected to bolster Shenzhen's high-quality development and deepen integration within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area city cluster in south China.
