জুলাই ২৩, সিএমজি বাংলা ডেস্ক: তাইওয়ানের জনগণকে মূল ভূখণ্ডে ভ্রমণ থেকে বিরত রাখতে ভীতি প্রদর্শন ও বিভ্রান্তিকর প্রচারণা চালানোর অভিযোগ এনে তাইওয়ানের ডেমোক্রেটিক প্রগ্রেসিভ পার্টি (ডিপিপি) কর্তৃপক্ষের তীব্র সমালোচনা করেছে চীনের মূল ভূখণ্ড।
বুধবার বেইজিংয়ে এক সংবাদ সম্মেলনে স্টেট কাউন্সিলের তাইওয়ানবিষয়ক কার্যালয়ের মুখপাত্র চাং হান বলেন, ডিপিপি কর্তৃপক্ষ প্রতারণা ও ভীতি প্রদর্শনের মাধ্যমে প্রণালী-পার আদান-প্রদান বাধাগ্রস্ত করছে এবং দুই পাড়ের জনগণের পারস্পরিক সম্পর্ক দুর্বল করার চেষ্টা করছে।
মূল ভূখণ্ডে নিখোঁজ বা আটক হওয়া তাইওয়ানের বাসিন্দাদের কথিত ঘটনাগুলোর সাপ্তাহিক হালনাগাদ প্রকাশের ডিপিপি’র পরিকল্পনা এবং তাইওয়ানের বাসিন্দাদের ঝুঁকি মূল্যায়ন করে সম্ভব হলে মূল ভূখণ্ডে ভ্রমণ এড়িয়ে চলার পরামর্শ দেওয়া বিষয়ে গণমাধ্যমের এক প্রশ্নের জবাবে তিনি এ মন্তব্য করেন।
চাং হান বলেন, ‘ডিপিপি কর্তৃপক্ষ তাইওয়ান অঞ্চলের জনগণকে আতঙ্কিত করতে, প্রতারিত করতে এবং ভয় দেখাতে গিয়ে তথ্যপ্রমাণ উপেক্ষা করেছে, মনগড়া দাবি তৈরি করেছে এবং বারবার তথাকথিত ‘নিখোঁজ ব্যক্তি’র ঘটনাকে অতিরঞ্জিত করেছে। এর মাধ্যমে তারা প্রণালী-পার আদান-প্রদানকে নিরুৎসাহিত করা এবং প্রণালীর উভয় পারের স্বদেশীদের মধ্যে আত্মীয়তার সম্পর্ক ছিন্ন করার লক্ষ্য অর্জন করতে চাইছে। তাদের এই কর্মকাণ্ড লজ্জাজনক এবং তাদের উদ্দেশ্য জঘন্য।‘

Mainland slams Taiwan's DPP authorities for using fear tactics to deter mainland travel
Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities are using deception and intimidation to block cross-Strait exchanges and weaken people-to-people ties, said Zhang Han, spokeswoman for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, at a press conference in Beijing on Wednesday.
Zhang responded to a media query about the DPP's plan to publish weekly updates on alleged cases of Taiwan residents reportedly missing or detained on the mainland, alongside their advisory urging Taiwan residents to carefully assess the risks and avoid mainland trips when possible.
"From January to June this year, cross-Strait travel reached 3.119 million trips, up 22.1 percent year on year. Among them, compatriots in Taiwan region made 2.85 million trips to the mainland, an increase of 24.9 percent from the same period last year. More and more compatriots are coming to the mainland for exchanges, study, work and tourism. We safeguard the lives, property and legitimate rights and interests of compatriots from Taiwan region who come to the mainland in accordance with the law, ensuring that the compatriots can travel across the Strait safely and smoothly," she said.
"The DPP authorities have ignored the facts, fabricated claims and repeatedly hyped so-called 'missing persons' cases in an attempt to create a chilling effect, deceive and intimidate the people in Taiwan region, so as to achieve the goal of deterring cross-Strait exchanges and severing the kinship between compatriots on both sides of the Strait. Their actions are shameful and their motives are execrable," Zhang noted.
