ইউরোপীয় ইউনিয়ন (ইইউ) ও এর সদস্য দেশগুলোর কাছ থেকে পাওয়া ভর্তুকি সম্পর্কে চীনে কার্যক্রম পরিচালনাকারী কয়েকটি ফরাসি প্রতিষ্ঠানের কাছে ব্যাখ্যা চেয়েছে চীনের বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয়। বৃহস্পতিবার বেইজিংয়ে এ তথ্য জানিয়েছেন মন্ত্রণালয়ের মুখপাত্র হুয়াং লিং।
সংবাদ সম্মেলনে চীনে থাকা একাধিক ফরাসি প্রতিষ্ঠানের সঙ্গে মন্ত্রণালয়ের সাম্প্রতিক বৈঠক নিয়ে সাংবাদিকের প্রশ্নের জবাবে হুয়াং এ মন্তব্য করেন।
তিনি বলেন, প্রকাশিত প্রতিবেদনগুলোয় ইঙ্গিত পাওয়া গেছে যে, কিছু ফরাসি প্রতিষ্ঠান ইইউ এবং এর সদস্য দেশগুলোর কাছ থেকে সংশ্লিষ্ট ভর্তুকি পেয়েছে। এর কিছু চীনে তাদের প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলোতে স্থানান্তরিত হতে পারে। এর প্রভাব মূল্যায়নের জন্য বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয় আইন অনুযায়ী তাদের কাছ থেকে তথ্য চেয়েছে এবং তাদের ব্যাখ্যা দিতে বলেছে।

China seeks clarification from French firms over EU subsidies: spokeswoman
China's Ministry of Commerce has requested information and explanations from several French companies operating within China regarding subsidies they received from the European Union and its member states, spokesman Huang Ling said in Beijing on Thursday.
Speaking at a regular press briefing, Huang made the remarks in response to a media query about recent meetings the ministry held with several French enterprises in China.
"Public reports indicate that some French companies have received relevant subsidies from the European Union and its member states. This may have been passed on to their entities in China to some extent. To assess the impact, the Ministry of Commerce, in accordance with the law, has sought information from them and asked them to provide explanations," said Huang.
