এশিয়া-প্যাসিফিক অঞ্চলে পারস্পরিক-লাভজনক সহযোগিতা আরও গভীর করতে এবং একটি এশিয়া-প্যাসিফিক কমিউনিটি গঠনে বৃহত্তর অবদান রাখতে চীন প্রস্তুত বলে জানিয়েছেন দেশটির পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ের মুখপাত্র কুও চিয়াখুন।
মঙ্গলবার বেইজিংয়ে নিয়মিত ব্রিফিংয়ে কুও বলেন, এশিয়া ও প্রশান্ত মহাসাগরীয় অঞ্চলের জন্য জাতিসংঘের অর্থনৈতিক ও সামাজিক কমিশনের (ইএসসিএপি) সকল সদস্য দেশের সঙ্গে-চীন সহযোগিতা জোরদারে আগ্রহী।
২০ থেকে ২৪ এপ্রিল পর্যন্ত ব্যাংককে অনুষ্ঠিত কমিশনের ৮২তম অধিবেশন প্রসঙ্গে কুও সাংবাদিকদের জানান,
“চীনা প্রতিনিধিদলের প্রধান, উপ-পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী মা চাওসু সাধারণ বিতর্কে ভাষণ দিয়েছেন। প্রেসিডেন্ট সি চিন পিংয়ের প্রস্তাবিত চারটি বৈশ্বিক উদ্যোগ কীভাবে বাস্তবায়ন করা যায়, সে বিষয়ে আলোকপাত করে তিনি বহুপাক্ষিকতা রক্ষা, উন্মুক্ততা ও সহযোগিতা বৃদ্ধি, ডিজিটাল রূপান্তরের সুযোগ গ্রহণ এবং টেকসই উন্নয়নে চীনের অবস্থান ও প্রস্তাবনাগুলো বিশদভাবে ব্যাখ্যা করেন। সেই সাথে এশিয়া-প্রশান্ত মহাসাগরীয় সহযোগিতা গভীর করতে ও একটি অভিন্ন কমিউনিটি গঠনে যৌথ প্রচেষ্টার আহ্বান জানান।”
তিনি আরও বলেন, “২০২৭ সালে যখন আমরা এর ৮০তম বার্ষিকী উদযাপন করব, তখন সংস্থাটির জন্মভূমি শাংহাইয়ে পরবর্তী ইএসসিএপি অধিবেশন আয়োজন করতে চীন প্রস্তুত। আমরা এটিকে কমিশনের মধ্যে সকলকে একত্রিত করে এর প্রতিষ্ঠা লক্ষ্য নবায়ন, পারস্পরিক-লাভজনক সহযোগিতা বৃদ্ধি এবং একটি এশিয়া-প্যাসিফিক কমিউনিটি গঠনে আরও অবদান রাখার একটি সুযোগ হিসেবে দেখছি।”

China ready to contribute more to building Asia-Pacific community: spokesman
China looks forward to deepening mutually beneficial cooperation and making greater contributions to building an Asia-Pacific community with all members of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), said Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun at a regular briefing in Beijing on Tuesday.
Guo briefed reporters on the Chinese delegation at the 82nd session of ESCAP, which is being held in Bangkok from April 20 to 24.
"Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu, who headed the Chinese delegation, delivered a speech at the General Debate. Focusing on how to implement the four global initiatives put forward by President Xi Jinping, he elaborated on China's positions and propositions on safeguarding multilateralism, promoting openness and cooperation, seizing opportunities brought by digitalization, and advancing sustainable development, and called for joint efforts to deepen Asia-Pacific cooperation and build an Asia-Pacific community," said Guo.
"China is ready to host the next ESCAP session in Shanghai, the birthplace of the organization, when we mark its 80th anniversary in 2027. We look forward to it as an opportunity to gather all within the Commission to renew the founding mission, enhance mutually-beneficial cooperation and contribute more to building an Asia-Pacific community," he said.
