বিশ্বের সর্বোচ্চ বিদ্যুতায়িত রুটে রেলওয়ের স্বপ্ন পূরণ করলেন জিজাংয়ের পশুপালক

নভেম্বর ১৯, সিএমজি বাংলা ডেস্ক: শিশু বয়সে দক্ষিণ-পশ্চিম চীনের সিচাং (তিব্বত) স্বায়ত্তশাসিত অঞ্চলে একজন পশুপালক হিসেবে কাজ করা সোনাম ওয়াংড্রাক, বিশ্বের সর্বোচ্চ বিদ্যুতায়িত রেলপথ চালু হওয়ার চার বছর আগে লাসা-নিংচি রেলপথের প্রথম ট্রেনচালক ছিলেন। বর্তমানে চায়না রেলওয়ে চিংচ্যাং গ্রুপের গোলমুদ Golmud লোকোমোটিভ মেইনটেন্যান্স সেকশনের ড্রাইভার প্রশিক্ষক হিসেবে কর্মরত সোনাম ওয়াংড্রাক ৪৩৫ কিলোমিটার দীর্ঘ লাসা-নিংচি রেলপথের উদ্বোধনী উচ্চগতির ট্রেনটি চালান। এটি সিচাংয়ের প্রথম বিদ্যুতায়িত রেললাইন, যা আঞ্চলিক রাজধানী লাসাকে চীনের বাকি অংশের সঙ্গে সংযুক্ত করেছে। তিনি বলেন,“আমাদের পরিচালক আমার কাছে এসে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, আমি কি সদ্য খোলা লাসা-নিংচি রেলপথের প্রথম ট্রেন চালাতে চাই। উদ্বোধনী ট্রেনটি চালানোর সুযোগ পেয়ে আমি একই সঙ্গে উত্তেজিত ও গর্বিত হয়েছিলাম,” ২০২১ সালের ২৫ জুন লাসা-নিংচি রেলপথ আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে চালু হয়, এবং ফুসিং উচ্চগতির বুলেট ট্রেন চীনের সব ৩১টি প্রদেশ, স্বায়ত্তশাসিত অঞ্চল ও পৌরসভায় পৌঁছায়। সিচাংয়ের প্রথম এবং বিশ্বের সর্বোচ্চ বিদ্যুতায়িত এই রেলপথের সফলতার সাক্ষী হয়েছেন সোনাম, পাশাপাশি এটি মানুষের জীবনে যে গভীর প্রভাব ফেলেছে তাও তিনি প্রত্যক্ষ করেছেন। শিশুকালে ট্রেন ছিল তাঁর কাছে রহস্যময় একটি বিষয়। এই স্বপ্নই তাঁকে রেলওয়ে স্কুল থেকে ট্রেনচালকের আসনে পৌঁছে দেয়। ২০১২ সালে সোনাম কুইংহাই–শিজাং রেলপথে ডিজেল লোকোমোটিভ চালক হন, পরে ফুসিং উচ্চগতির ট্রেন চালানোর যোগ্যতা অর্জন করেন। জেনিফার/ ফয়সল তথ্য ও ছবি: সিসিটিভি Sonam Wangdrak, who worked as a herder in his younger years in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, was the first train driver for the Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway, when the world's highest electrified railway entered into service more than four years ago. Sonam Wangdrak, now a driver instructor of the Golmud Locomotive Maintenance Section of the China Railway Qingzang Group, drove the inaugural high-speed train on the 435-kilometer Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway. It is Xizang's first electrified rail line connecting the regional capital with the rest of China. To this day, Sonam Wangdrak can still recall his excitement of being able to drive the first train on the historic route. "Our director came to me and asked if I wanted to serve as the first train driver on the newly opened Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway. I felt both excited and proud to be able to operate the inaugural train," he said. On June 25, 2021, the Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway officially commenced operations, with the Fuxing high-speed bullet train reaching all 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities. Sonam has witnessed firsthand the success of Xizang's first, and the world's highest electrified railway, along with the profound impact it has had on people's lives. "The Fuxing train ended southeastern Xizang's history of lacking railway service. I feel really fortunate to have become part of this and witnessed the historic moment," said Sonam Wangdrak. Sonam Wangdrak grew up in a remote farming and herding family in Lhorong County, Qamdo, where horses were the only means of transportation. As a boy, trains were a distant mystery, until one day when he was in junior high, the Qinghai-Xizang Railway was being taught in class. "When I was in junior high school, I learned about the construction of the Qinghai-Xizang Railway. I asked what a train was like and my teacher told me it was much faster than a horse. I thought to myself, 'If I could become a train driver one day, that would be awesome,'" he said. That dream carried him through railway school and into the train driver's seat. In 2012, Sonam became a diesel locomotive driver on the Qinghai–Xizang Railway, later advancing to operate Fuxing high-speed trains. "The Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway extends 435 kilometers and crosses the Yarlung Zangbo River 16 times. The builders worked tirelessly, and I admire them from the bottom of my heart," said Sonam Wangdrak.
